About the role
The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for validating and optimizing the performance of semiconductor devices through automated testing and data analysis. This 1-year contract role involves developing comprehensive test plans, executing benchmarks on ATE platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product efficiency and stability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated performance test scripts for semiconductor components
- Execute high-volume performance characterization and stress testing on ATE systems
- Analyze large datasets to identify performance trends, bottlenecks, and regressions
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define performance metrics and targets
- Generate comprehensive performance reports and present findings to engineering leadership
- Troubleshoot and debug performance-related issues during the product development lifecycle
- Maintain and upgrade performance testing frameworks and automated test suites
- Optimize test time and throughput while maintaining high test coverage and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a similar technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor test or performance engineering
- Proven proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages for test automation
- Hands-on experience with high-end ATE (Automated Test Equipment) such as Advantest or Teradyne
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor physics and high-speed digital signal integrity
- Experience using statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, or Spotfire
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a lab environment
- Ability to work effectively on a 1-year direct contract basis
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and bench-top laboratory equipment
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with global design and product teams
