About the role

Lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) operations for a large portfolio of industrial and commercial properties. Oversee technical teams, manage capital projects, drive energy efficiency initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all MEP operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects across multiple industrial and commercial properties
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure 24/7 reliability of critical systems
  • Develop and execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Lead energy management initiatives to reduce consumption and achieve sustainability targets
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for MEP infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, OSHA, EPA, and corporate EHS standards
  • Implement automation and controls upgrades to improve system efficiency and reliability
  • Coordinate with property management, tenants, and vendors to minimize downtime during maintenance and construction activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering
  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing MEP systems in industrial or large commercial facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and contractors
  • Expert knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Hands-on experience with BMS, SCADA, CMMS, and automation controls
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple capital projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated success in energy management and sustainability programs
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to support regional properties
  • LEED AP, CFM, or PMP certification preferred
