About the role

This is a six-month internship in the Global Markets division focused on Emerging Markets, specifically covering Rates and Non-Deliverable Forwards (NDF) for the Singapore Dollar. The intern will support the trading and sales desks with market analysis, reporting, and operational execution support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Emerging Markets trading desk in monitoring SGD rates and NDF market movements
  • Assist in the preparation of daily market commentaries and internal research reports
  • Maintain and update financial models and spreadsheets for pricing and risk assessment
  • Extract and analyze data using Bloomberg Terminal and other market data systems
  • Assist with trade life-cycle management and desk operational tasks
  • Perform ad-hoc research projects on regional macroeconomic trends affecting Emerging Markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve desk workflow and data automation

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in financial markets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and data manipulation
  • Familiarity with interest rate products and foreign exchange markets is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional reporting
  • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure high accuracy in market data reporting
  • Available for a full-time internship duration from July to December 2026
  • Prior exposure to VBA or programming languages for automation is a plus
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg or Reuters Eikon systems is an advantage
