About the role
The Site Reliability (Network) Engineer ensures the continuous availability and peak performance of network infrastructure within a semiconductor fabrication environment. This role focuses on automating network operations and optimizing low-latency connectivity for critical manufacturing execution systems and automated production tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain highly available network architectures to support 24x7 semiconductor manufacturing operations
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible for automated network configuration and deployment
- Monitor network health and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve potential outages
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues across routing, switching, and security layers in the fab
- Collaborate with automation teams to optimize network paths and performance for Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Manage enterprise-grade load balancing and firewall services to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for core and edge network hardware
- Lead network hardware refreshes and software upgrades across global manufacturing sites
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or site reliability engineering
- Expertise in routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP in multi-vendor environments
- Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Go, or Bash
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware from vendors like Cisco, Arista, or Juniper
- Knowledge of network virtualization and software-defined networking architectures
- Deep understanding of network security principles including VPNs, firewalls, and access control lists
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to support critical manufacturing infrastructure
- Strong analytical skills for performing root cause analysis on complex network performance issues
- Professional certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP are highly preferred
