About the role

Senior Project Manager role within a semiconductor capital equipment company, responsible for leading complex customer projects from pre-sales through installation and acceptance. Position involves global travel to customer sites, cross-functional leadership of engineering and service teams, and direct accountability for project P&L and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project execution for semiconductor capital equipment installations at customer sites worldwide
  • Serve as primary customer interface throughout project lifecycle from pre-sales to final acceptance
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, field service, and quality
  • Drive risk identification and mitigation strategies for technical and commercial challenges
  • Manage project P&L with accountability for cost, schedule, and quality metrics
  • Conduct regular project reviews with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee site preparation, equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities
  • Facilitate technical training and knowledge transfer to customer operations teams
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and quality standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing
  • PMP certification required
  • Proven track record managing complex capital equipment projects exceeding $10M in value
  • Experience with semiconductor fab processes and cleanroom environments
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage project P&L
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
  • Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and resolve complex engineering challenges
  • Strong negotiation skills for managing contracts and vendor relationships
  • Experience with Six Sigma or lean manufacturing methodologies preferred
