About the role
The Relationship Manager for China Corporate Business manages a portfolio of international Chinese enterprises within the Enterprise Banking division. The role focuses on business development, credit portfolio management, and providing comprehensive financial solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a dedicated portfolio of Chinese corporate clients within the Enterprise Banking International division
- Identify and originate new business opportunities through proactive marketing of banking products including loans and trade finance
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals and conduct regular credit reviews to maintain asset quality
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in client organizations
- Collaborate with product specialists to deliver tailored financial solutions including cash management and treasury services
- Monitor account performance and manage credit risks within the assigned portfolio to minimize defaults
- Ensure all client activities and transactions adhere to internal policies and regulatory AML/KYC requirements
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends and economic developments in China to identify business impacts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related academic discipline
- Proven professional experience in corporate banking or relationship management specifically focusing on Chinese enterprises
- Strong proficiency in Mandarin, both spoken and written, is required for effective client engagement and documentation
- Deep understanding of corporate banking products including trade finance, commercial lending, and treasury solutions
- Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis, financial statement assessment, and risk management
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales and business growth targets
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and adhere to strict compliance and KYC standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in preparing credit memos and financial reports
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced international banking environment
