About the role

This role is a senior business development position focused on driving direct acquisition sales of semiconductor capital equipment. The manager will develop and execute strategies to secure new customers and expand market share through direct sales channels, OEM partnerships, and strategic alliances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive direct acquisition strategies to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize target accounts and market segments for direct sales penetration
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers at target semiconductor manufacturers and OEMs
  • Lead complex sales cycles from initial contact through contract negotiation and closure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and operations to develop compelling value propositions
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations and proposals to senior management and technical stakeholders
  • Develop competitive positioning strategies and differentiation tactics against incumbent suppliers
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with complementary technology providers and channel partners
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer requirements to inform sales strategies
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets while maintaining healthy sales pipeline coverage

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related technical field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or strategic sales within the semiconductor capital equipment industry
  • Proven track record of successfully closing multi-million dollar capital equipment deals with semiconductor manufacturers
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and capital equipment purchasing cycles
  • Strong network of contacts within the semiconductor industry, particularly at major IDMs and foundries
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies for technical products
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with experience in long-term supply agreements
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to develop business cases and ROI models for capital investments
  • Experience working with OEM partners and developing channel sales strategies
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally to support customer engagements
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior executives
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating complex technical sales efforts
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales forecasting methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize market data and competitive intelligence
