About the role
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Domain Architect at Rolls‑Royce Power Systems will lead the design, implementation and governance of enterprise AI solutions, driving agent‑based AI adoption, ensuring scalability across edge, cloud and on‑prem environments, and providing technical guidance to development teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Own AI architectural design and provide functional leadership over AI technology stack components.
- Drive enterprise‑wide adoption of agent‑based AI and enable related training.
- Develop, implement and maintain scalable AI architectures for edge, cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Guide internal and external developers, resolve dependencies, manage interfaces and remove impediments.
- Collaborate with product owners, design and shared services teams to align AI components with business objectives.
- Participate actively in agile delivery processes and foster high‑performing team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related discipline.
- 5+ years experience implementing complex AI microservice frameworks and enterprise AI systems.
- Proven experience designing, integrating and delivering scalable AI solutions in modern software environments.
- Deep understanding of AI design patterns, machine learning, statistical modelling and generative AI techniques.
- Hands‑on experience with agent‑based AI frameworks (single‑agent and multi‑agent systems).
- Strong data processing knowledge for AI microservices, including Apache Spark, Python, Apache Kafka, Hadoop and big data storage formats.
