About the role
The Senior Assistant Director, Space Master Planning leads strategic planning and development of facilities to support research and office workspace needs, creating financially and environmentally sustainable master plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing stakeholder collaboration across A*STAR sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop long‑term space plans and utilization strategies for A*STAR's portfolio
- Create and manage master plans that address regulatory requirements, transport accessibility, amenities, clustering, real‑estate availability, and sustainability
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards across multiple locations
- Collaborate with facility teams, users, and consultants to gather requirements and drive implementation
- Contribute to standardized space design guidelines across sites
- Track and evaluate performance of implemented space plans and continuously improve utilization
Requirements
- Degree in Geography, Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Architecture or a related field
- 8‑10 years of relevant experience in space management and/or master planning
- Experience developing master plans for higher‑learning institutes, research institutes or healthcare organizations (preferred)
- Proficiency with ArcGIS, Photoshop and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage all organizational levels
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
