About This Role
Abbott Technical Application Specialist requires a Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering with 5-7 years of experience in diagnostic laboratories, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle on-site instrument troubleshooting and operator training.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate technical information regarding Abbott products and services before, during, and after transactions.
- Deliver customer operator training in Abbott facilities or on-site.
- Perform new instrument and assay implementations through to Test-of–Record.
- Provide on-site assay investigation, troubleshooting, and operator coaching.
- Prepare technical documents and reports for implementation, training, and investigations.
- Connect integrate technologies to cater customer needs and propose relevant product solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science/ Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience in a similar diagnostic laboratory position.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with proven engagements with customers and lab staff.
- Good knowledge in Technical Assay systems to act as expert for product line responsibility.
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to demonstrate empathy with customers.
- Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues.
- Strong experience in use of analytical tools and software.
