About the role

Strategic Supplier Relationship Manager responsible for commercial oversight, performance management, and risk governance of the Bank's third-party ecosystem, specifically for CABM & WRB team, driving strategic alignment, commercial value, and long-term partnerships with key Marketing & Banking Operations suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as primary executive point of contact for designated Strategic Marketing / Banking Operations Suppliers, maintaining strong, collaborative, and value-based relationships.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive strategies for Standard Chartered's Strategic Marketing / Banking Suppliers aligned with business objectives, demand management, and contractual obligations.
  • Drive joint business planning sessions, strategy setting, performance reviews, innovation pipeline, and continuous improvement initiatives with designated Strategic Suppliers.
  • Establish, monitor and report supplier KPIs, scorecards and service performance, leading root cause analysis for material performance issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proactively identify and assess supply chain and relationship-driven risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as subject matter expert on Strategic Supplier capabilities and market dynamics, with deep understanding of the related industry and key providers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a vendor / strategic supplier management role within professional services / Finance Sector.
  • Proven experience building, repairing, and sustaining complex executive level supplier relationships.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes in large complex multi-national organizations, preferably in the Finance Sector.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills to operate in complex multi-organisation, multi-country and multi-cultural environments.
  • Membership in CIPS or similar professional body.
  • Advanced commercial / business acumen and strategic mindset.
