About the role
This Senior Systems Engineer role focuses on Cyber Engineering within an Information Security Department. The position is responsible for designing security automation workflows, leveraging Generative AI to enhance security operations, and leading the end-to-end deployment of cybersecurity toolsets.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security automation workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across engineering and operations
- Leverage Generative AI to support automation, accelerate decision-making, and improve outcomes across multiple Information Security domains
- Develop and integrate cloud-native security controls, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and operational requirements
- Contribute to DevSecOps practices and collaborate with offshore development teams to support secure development environments
- Lead end-to-end deployment of security tools, including requirement gathering, RFQ development, vendor evaluation, proof-of-concept (POC), implementation, and handover
- Maintain and enhance cybersecurity toolsets through regular tuning, upgrades, and lifecycle refresh planning
- Support ad-hoc assignments as required by the Cyber Engineering or wider Information Security team
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or equivalent roles
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native security controls
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools and their application in security contexts
- Experience in managing cybersecurity tool lifecycles and leading solution deployments, including RFQs
- Experience working in DevSecOps environments and with offshore development teams is an advantage
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent are preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently across multiple teams
