Job Description

A finance leadership program where the candidate will be exposed and posted to Group or Regional finance roles in Singapore, with eventual posting to PSA business units (BU) as a BU finance representative globally. Open to take on different roles primarily focused in Finance (including but not limited to Regional Finance, Group Accounting, Group Treasury, Group Tax, Group Internal Audit) in China and/or Singapore in the 1 st few years, for exposure and development For BU Finance representative role, Be a business partner, and build trust and relationship with all stakeholders Responsible for the full spectrum of Finance from financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, project management, tax planning, corporate finance, corporate governance and treasury matters Establish robust financial and corporate governance and oversee business unit's accounting activities in accordance with policies and procedures, providing clear visibility on plans and business performance Create and run a clear budgeting and forecasting process in the business unit, as well as implement policies and procedures to improve the company's financial controls in alignment with shareholders' expectations. Plan and manage financial strategy and finances. Develop risk management strategies that minimise/mitigate Company's exposure Review and interpret business performance and operating results against short-term and long-term budgets and targets and make specific recommendations on cost-reduction and profit-improvement Provide inputs and insights towards value growth and creation for BU to shareholders Interface with corporate auditors as necessary, in business unit's payroll, tax compliance, local accounting standards and other administrative matters Support Headquarters in Business Development and M&A matters Requirements: • Possess a degree in Accountancy or Business with major in Accountancy • At least 5 years of relevant working experience • Experience in Big 4 + prior commercial experience would be an added advantage • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards • Good knowledge of local China rules and regulations • Proficient in IT skills, especially with spreadsheet, powerpoint and Power BI. • Ability to multi-task, has initiative and excellent analytical skills • Independent yet a team player, meticulous and hands-on with demonstrated maturity • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and spoken English and Chinese • Candidate should be mobile and willing to travel/relocate overseas for work
