About the role
Events manager responsible for organizing large-scale conferences and conventions across Asia and Africa for Prudential's agency force, handling procurement, budget management, vendor coordination, and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor and manage project budget, event expenses and deliverables while ensuring a highly memorable event experience for attendees
- Adhere to the internal procurement process and manage vendor payment timelines
- Work closely with procurement on sourcing of events support vendor and RFP for events
- Work closely with vendor in sourcing and cost management for all event deliverables like venue, catering, events support vendors, gifts, fringe entertainments, design & concepts etc
- Coordinate and communicate with local business unit events colleagues and external vendors to deliver the event programme and materialise the objectives
- Ensure programme are well-thought through and local business units thoroughly briefed prior to event
- Manage events/recognition collaterals of Group initiatives
- Work closely with events vendor to come up with practical and useful gifts for incentive trips
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in organizing large scale conferences and conventions
- Experience running large scale regional events e.g. regional convention for agency and partnership distribution
- Highly organized
- Able to remain calm and friendly in challenging situations
