About the role

Provide medical information and communications support for a medical device company on a 1-year contract. Serve as the primary contact for medical inquiries, manage adverse event reporting, and deliver scientific training to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain medical information materials including standard response documents and FAQs
  • Manage adverse event reporting and product complaint handling in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct scientific literature reviews and synthesize clinical data to support medical communications
  • Provide medical training to internal teams including sales and marketing personnel
  • Support the development and delivery of educational materials for healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory affairs, clinical research, and pharmacovigilance
  • Monitor and analyze medical information trends to identify potential safety signals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in medical information, medical communications, or related field within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex scientific information
  • Experience with medical writing and development of scientific materials
  • Proficiency in literature searching and critical appraisal of scientific literature
  • Knowledge of global regulatory requirements for medical device or pharmaceutical products
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical information
  • Experience with adverse event reporting systems preferred
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, or Master's) preferred
  • Experience in medical device industry preferred
  • Fluency in additional languages preferred
