About the role

This role leads global outsourcing and third-party risk management for a Tier 1 semiconductor IDM, driving supplier strategy, risk mitigation, and cost optimization across manufacturing and service categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global outsourcing and third-party risk management strategies aligned with corporate objectives
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers for manufacturing and service categories
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and due diligence for new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate and manage complex contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and legal teams to ensure seamless supplier integration
  • Lead supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality, EHS, and regulatory standards
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance visibility and efficiency in the supply chain
  • Manage escalations and resolve critical supplier issues to minimize business impact

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or outsourcing within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record in third-party risk management and supplier performance optimization
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing complex contracts and agreements
  • Experience working with global suppliers and managing cross-cultural relationships
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management tools
  • Certification in supply chain (CSCP, CPSM) or project management (PMP) preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
  • Experience with ISO, EHS, and other regulatory compliance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience managing supplier audits and risk assessments
