Key Responsibilities

  • Lead model validation activities for advanced semiconductor device models
  • Develop and execute comprehensive validation test plans for new process nodes
  • Perform silicon correlation of device models against measured data from test chips
  • Conduct Monte Carlo and corner analysis to validate statistical model accuracy
  • Drive debug and resolution of model validation issues with cross-functional teams
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in model validation best practices
  • Establish and maintain validation methodologies and documentation standards
  • Interface with process integration and design teams to ensure model quality

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in semiconductor device modeling and validation
  • Strong understanding of CMOS device physics and process technology
  • Expertise in SPICE and Verilog-A model development and validation
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and Monte Carlo simulation techniques
  • Experience with EDA tools for circuit simulation and model validation
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Perl, TCL, or MATLAB
  • Demonstrated experience in silicon correlation and test chip validation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Proven leadership experience in technical teams
  • Experience with advanced process nodes (7nm and below preferred)
  • Knowledge of layout effects and parasitic extraction
  • Understanding of reliability and variation modeling
