About the role

Lead the strategy and deployment of AI/ML solutions across global semiconductor manufacturing operations to drive yield, throughput, and cost improvements. Partner with engineering, IT, and operations teams to identify high-impact use cases, build scalable AI platforms, and ensure successful adoption across fabs and OSAT partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the global AI/ML strategy for manufacturing operations across all fabs and OSAT partners
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive high-impact AI use cases in areas such as predictive maintenance, yield optimization, defect classification, and process control
  • Lead cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and operations staff to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions at scale
  • Establish AI governance frameworks, data standards, and MLOps best practices to ensure reliable and scalable deployments
  • Partner with IT and OT teams to integrate AI solutions with existing MES, ERP, and automation systems
  • Create and deliver training programs to build AI literacy across engineering and operations organizations
  • Develop business cases and ROI models for AI initiatives, securing executive sponsorship and funding
  • Manage relationships with external AI vendors, cloud providers, and research institutions
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging AI technologies to maintain competitive advantage
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-deployment analysis and optimization of AI models

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field; Master's preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics roles within manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record of successfully deploying AI/ML solutions in semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing operations
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and data systems
  • Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and cloud AI platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform)
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with big data technologies
  • Experience with MES, ERP, SCADA systems, and IT/OT integration in manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • Experience with change management and driving adoption of new technologies in manufacturing organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on business impact
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to global manufacturing sites
  • Experience with edge computing and real-time AI inference in manufacturing environments preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
