About the role
This IFRS17 Actuarial Specialist role is a 2-year contract focused on implementing and managing actuarial reporting under the IFRS17 framework. The specialist will handle actuarial valuation, model development, and cross-functional coordination to ensure regulatory compliance and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial modeling and valuation under the IFRS17 framework
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of IFRS17 actuarial reporting processes
- Analyze financial impacts and prepare actuarial reports for management and stakeholders
- Develop and test actuarial tools and systems for data integration
- Coordinate with Finance and IT teams to ensure system alignment with reporting standards
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of actuarial methodologies and assumptions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements
- Support audit processes by providing data and methodology explanations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong progress toward or completion of professional actuarial qualifications (SOA, IFoA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in life insurance actuarial reporting or valuation
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS17 accounting standards and implementation challenges
- Proficiency in actuarial software such as Prophet, GGY AXIS, or similar platforms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA and data modeling
- Experience with data analysis tools like SAS, SQL, or Python
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to commit to a 2-year fixed-term contract duration
