  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact with external vendors to coordinate optical component development, fabrication, assembly, and delivery activities.
  • Provide hands-on vendor support to identify, track, and help resolve optical component integration, manufacturing, and yield issues in coordination with internal engineering teams.
  • Work closely with vendors to define, execute, and track component development and build plans , including samples, data delivery, corrective actions, and schedules.
  • Review and validate vendor-provided process flows, inspection data, and test results for completeness and consistency against requirements.
  • Support component qualification and change control activities , including process changes, deviations, and rework coordination.

Requirements

  • Serve as the Asia-based on-site technical interface for optical component vendors, supporting the integration, qualification, and manufacturing readiness of optical components and sub-assemblies.
  • Support component qualification and change control activities , including process changes, deviations, and rework coordination.
  • Prior experience in optical component suppliers, FAEs, NPI, or manufacturing engineering roles.
  • Experience supporting process qualification, pilot builds, or production ramps of optical components.
  • Familiarity with optical performance metrics (e.g., insertion loss, alignment tolerance, yield trends).
  • Experience working directly with external vendors or contract manufacturers , preferably in Asia, supporting development, NPI, or production ramp activities.
