Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Group & Health Pricing team, including actuaries and analysts
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for group and health insurance products
- Oversee the development and maintenance of pricing models and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and actuarial standards
- Collaborate with underwriting, product development, and finance teams to optimize pricing
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform pricing decisions
- Present pricing recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Manage rate filings and regulatory submissions
- Drive actuarial transformation initiatives and process improvements
- Provide mentorship and professional development for team members
Requirements
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), or equivalent actuarial designation
- Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience in group and/or health insurance pricing
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Proven leadership experience managing actuarial teams
- Strong knowledge of group and health insurance products and pricing methodologies
- Experience with regulatory requirements and rate filings
- Advanced proficiency in actuarial modeling software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of healthcare reform and regulatory changes impacting pricing
- Experience with financial reporting and profitability analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
