Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Group & Health Pricing team, including actuaries and analysts
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for group and health insurance products
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of pricing models and methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and actuarial standards
  • Collaborate with underwriting, product development, and finance teams to optimize pricing
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform pricing decisions
  • Present pricing recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage rate filings and regulatory submissions
  • Drive actuarial transformation initiatives and process improvements
  • Provide mentorship and professional development for team members

Requirements

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), or equivalent actuarial designation
  • Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience in group and/or health insurance pricing
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • Proven leadership experience managing actuarial teams
  • Strong knowledge of group and health insurance products and pricing methodologies
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and rate filings
  • Advanced proficiency in actuarial modeling software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare reform and regulatory changes impacting pricing
  • Experience with financial reporting and profitability analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
