Senior-level underwriting specialist responsible for evaluating and managing risk for industrial technology and manufacturing clients. The role combines technical knowledge of manufacturing processes with financial risk assessment to structure insurance solutions for complex industrial risks.

Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex industrial and manufacturing risks including semiconductor, electronics, precision engineering, and energy systems
- Analyze financial statements, loss history, and operational data to assess risk quality and pricing
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to understand their risk management needs
- Structure customized insurance programs including property, casualty, and specialty coverages
- Collaborate with engineering and risk control teams to evaluate technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Monitor portfolio performance and implement underwriting strategy adjustments
- Prepare comprehensive underwriting submissions and present to internal stakeholders
- Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes affecting industrial clients
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of commercial underwriting experience with focus on industrial or manufacturing risks
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations
- Professional insurance designations preferred (CPCU, ARM, CRM)
- Demonstrated experience with large account underwriting and complex risk evaluation
- Proficiency in financial analysis and risk modeling techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and broker interactions
- Ability to travel up to 25% for client visits and industry events
- Experience with property and casualty insurance products for industrial clients
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills for risk assessment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and underwriting systems
- Knowledge of ISO and other relevant industry standards
- Experience working with international risks and multinational programs preferred
