Oversee global distribution risk and compliance programs for an industrial technology company, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient movement of products through worldwide supply chains. Lead audits, supplier assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives while managing a team and interfacing with regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain global distribution risk and compliance framework aligned with corporate EHS and quality objectives
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing distribution channels, carriers, and third-party logistics providers
- Lead compliance audits of warehouses, freight forwarders, and customs brokers across North America, EMEA, and APAC
- Investigate and resolve distribution incidents including safety events, regulatory violations, and service failures
- Create and track KPIs for on-time delivery, damage rates, regulatory holds, and audit findings
- Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce risk and cost
- Manage relationships with external regulatory agencies, industry associations, and certification bodies
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams and external partners on compliance requirements and best practices
- Oversee trade compliance activities ensuring adherence to import/export regulations and sanctions screening
- Collaborate with procurement, quality, and logistics teams to integrate risk controls into supplier contracts and performance metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain risk management, compliance, or quality assurance within a global industrial or technology company
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports in a matrix organization
- Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments across multiple geographies and regulatory jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations including ITAR, EAR, REACH, and customs requirements
- Proficiency with ERP, MES, and supply chain visibility platforms for data analysis and reporting
- Certification or formal training in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt methodologies preferred
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and corrective action plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and external regulators
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- Advanced Excel and data visualization skills for KPI dashboards and executive reporting
- Experience managing incident investigations using root cause analysis tools such as 8D or fishbone diagrams
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG) and hazardous material handling requirements
