About the role

The Research Officer, Project Management supports A*STAR investigators by managing project lifecycles, maintaining documentation, developing SOPs, and engaging industry partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with research standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain project records in the A*STAR Project System (A*PS) for end‑to‑end lifecycle management
  • Assist Principal Investigators in managing R&D projects from initiation through closure, monitoring milestones, deliverables, timelines, budgets, invoicing and KPIs
  • Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners, facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas and document minutes and action items
  • Develop, review and maintain project management documentation and records to high standards
  • Support development, review and updating of project‑management SOPs, workflows and guidelines
  • Assist in engagement with industry and public sector partners, connecting them with A*STAR researchers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Immunology or a related discipline
  • 1–2 years of working experience in biomedical, healthcare, medtech or related sectors
  • Prior exposure to project lifecycle management in a research environment (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of research funding, grant management, industry engagement and intellectual property concepts
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for scientific and non‑scientific stakeholders
