About the role
The Manager/Senior Manager, Research Security leads A*STAR's Research Security (ReSec) program, overseeing policy development, compliance monitoring, risk assessment, education, and international outreach to ensure secure and compliant research activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global developments and provide analysis and recommendations to senior management
- Review and update ReSec-related policies, procedures and guidance (PPGs) and work with research entities to implement them
- Monitor compliance to ReSec-related PPGs and perform risk analysis to identify gaps and vulnerabilities
- Develop and conduct awareness/training programmes for staff on ReSec risks and best practices
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments of cases and develop mitigation measures
- Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on ReSec matters
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in international relations, government affairs, or regulatory compliance
- Background in science, technology & innovation policy or related field (advantageous)
- Proven ability to build and navigate relationships across diverse cultures and large organisations
- Strong strategic thinking, policy planning, project management and stakeholder management skills
- High learning agility and adaptability
- Effective and thoughtful communication skills
