Key Responsibilities
- Conduct wet lab experiments involving protein purification and assays using techniques such as fluorescence microscopy and nanopore sequencing
- Prepare research findings for publications, reports, and presentations
- Undertake day-to-day running of the project and collaborate with team members in supporting lab operation
- Daily lab management tasks such as taking inventory and ordering
- Conduct literature searches and analyse data, assist in preparing progress reports
- Maintain highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field
- Prior experience in laboratory research involving yeast display, FACS, enzyme and DNA assays, protein expression and purification, nanopores or microscopy preferred
- Proficiency in routine molecular and cell biology techniques such as PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, fluorescence microscopy, and cloning
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to prepare clear research documentation
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively
