Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct wet lab experiments involving protein purification and assays using techniques such as fluorescence microscopy and nanopore sequencing
  • Prepare research findings for publications, reports, and presentations
  • Undertake day-to-day running of the project and collaborate with team members in supporting lab operation
  • Daily lab management tasks such as taking inventory and ordering
  • Conduct literature searches and analyse data, assist in preparing progress reports
  • Maintain highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • Prior experience in laboratory research involving yeast display, FACS, enzyme and DNA assays, protein expression and purification, nanopores or microscopy preferred
  • Proficiency in routine molecular and cell biology techniques such as PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, fluorescence microscopy, and cloning
  • Strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to prepare clear research documentation
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively
