Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities of the Assistant Laboratory Technician include washing and sterilising used glassware, autoclaving lab consumables and decontaminating biohazard waste.
- The appointee will also be responsible in recording of daily output data, keeping the working area clean and ensuring all equipment are in good working condition as well as addressing users' queries or refer them to other team members.
- Job responsibilities Ensure all used glassware are properly washed and sterilised for lab use Ensure all glassware are sent back to the correct customers Handle glassware with care to prevent breakage Ensure all media and lab consumables are properly sterilised Ensure all lab consumables are sent back to their respective cabinet Ensure proper handling of waste to prevent exposure and cross-contamination Ensure waste is properly decontaminated prior to disposal Ensure cleanness and operational-readiness of the facility and equipment Address users' query or refer them to other team members.
