About the role
The Director of Strategic Planning at A*STAR will lead the organization's strategic planning initiatives, advise senior leadership, drive digital transformation, and mentor a high‑performing team. The role requires at least 10 years of experience in strategic or corporate planning or management consulting, strong stakeholder influence skills, and proven team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as trusted advisor to senior leadership and manage executive partnerships
- Lead A*STAR's strategic planning exercises including workshops, annual work plans and OKR development
- Build consensus and align corporate divisions with long‑term strategic projects
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of officers, fostering psychological safety and high performance
- Craft and deliver concise briefings, policy papers and presentations for senior leadership
- Design internal engagement initiatives such as leadership retreats and town halls
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate planning or management consulting
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to influence C‑suite and director‑level leaders
- Strong analytical rigor with ability to anticipate issues and conduct accurate data analysis
- Resilience and ability to make sound decisions in fast‑paced, dynamic environments with tight deadlines
