About the role
The Genome Institute of Singapore seeks Principal Investigators at various career stages to lead independent research programs in AI/computational biology, cancer genomics, precision health and aging, and technology development, leveraging GIS sequencing facilities and computational platforms to advance genomic science and translational health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead independent research programs in AI and computational biology, cancer genomics, precision health and aging, or technology development for DNA/RNA insights
- Leverage GIS high‑throughput sequencing facilities, technology platforms, and computational analytics to drive scientific discovery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across GIS and A*STAR to integrate genetics, genomics, and data science
- Secure external research funding and manage research grants
- Publish peer‑reviewed research findings and contribute to intellectual property creation
- Mentor and build research teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
Requirements
- MD, PhD, or equivalent degree in biological, genomic, or computational sciences
- Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications and external research funding
- Demonstrated ability to conduct cutting‑edge, team‑based research
- Experience in AI, computational biology, genomics, sequencing methodology, functional genomics, or molecular engineering
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Track record of intellectual property creation is an advantage
