Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will contribute to advancing our understanding of the immune system"s role in cancer and support the development of innovative immune therapies.
  • Design and execute experiments utilizing genome editing techniques, including CRISPR/Cas9, to modify immune cells for cancer immunotherapy applications.
  • Design and perform functional assays to evaluate the impact of genome editing on immune cell behaviour, including T/NK cell activation, differentiation etc.
  • Collaborate closely with immunologists and other researchers to interpret data and refine experimental strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of novel methodologies to improve the efficiency and precision of genome editing in immune cells.
  • Participate in the generation of preclinical models to evaluate the efficacy of engineered immune cells in tumour settings.

Requirements

  • PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
  • Strong experience with genome editing technologies, particularly CRISPR/Cas9 in mammalian cells.
  • Solid understanding of cancer biology and immune cell therapies.
  • Proven ability in experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
  • Experience with cell culture, primary immune cell isolation, and flow cytometry is advantageous.
