Key Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will contribute to advancing our understanding of the immune system"s role in cancer and support the development of innovative immune therapies.
- Design and execute experiments utilizing genome editing techniques, including CRISPR/Cas9, to modify immune cells for cancer immunotherapy applications.
- Design and perform functional assays to evaluate the impact of genome editing on immune cell behaviour, including T/NK cell activation, differentiation etc.
- Collaborate closely with immunologists and other researchers to interpret data and refine experimental strategies.
- Contribute to the development of novel methodologies to improve the efficiency and precision of genome editing in immune cells.
- Participate in the generation of preclinical models to evaluate the efficacy of engineered immune cells in tumour settings.
Requirements
- PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
- Strong experience with genome editing technologies, particularly CRISPR/Cas9 in mammalian cells.
- Solid understanding of cancer biology and immune cell therapies.
- Proven ability in experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
- Experience with cell culture, primary immune cell isolation, and flow cytometry is advantageous.
