About the role
The Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2) was established by A*STAR in 2022 to support Singapore's sustainability goals. This role supports financial planning, budget management, and long-term financial projections to optimize resource allocation. Responsibilities include preparing monthly reports, assisting in corporate governance, risk management, and business continuity management, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise for cost centres and grants within the institute
- Oversee the utilisation of grants and resources to support forward planning
- Perform long term financial projection for the institute, taking into account of pipeline projects
- Develop appropriate strategies to achieve effective resource management and optimal fund utilisation
- Oversee fund requests and project expenditure, including manpower costs so that grants are drawn down in a timely manner
- Prepare and/or present monthly management reports and analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related fields with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Quick, meticulous, resourceful and creative problem solver who works well with various stakeholders and under pressure
- Positive and self-motivated, adaptable to changing requirements and priorities
- Highly organized and demonstrates initiative in carrying out assigned duties
- Confident communicator with good writing and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and people skills
