About the role

This Senior Manager role involves leading the technology strategy and end-to-end delivery of banking platform implementations within Deloitte's Technology, Strategy & Transformation team. The successful candidate will manage complex stakeholder relationships, vendor partnerships, and large-scale digital transformation programs for financial services clients in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end ownership of technology delivery across multiple modules
  • Develop E2E delivery plan in conjunction with client and vendor partners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including client stakeholders, platform product vendor, and third-party vendors
  • Work closely with the products vendor to ensure that products and services align with project objectives and timelines
  • Manage contractual agreements and service level expectations
  • Coordinate with functional consultants, technical leads, and data migration teams to ensure alignment across workstreams
  • Provide hands-on support in technical discussions related to configurations, customizations, integrations, and data migration strategy
  • Drive quality assurance including SIT/UAT planning, defect triage, and go-live readiness
  • Track budget, effort, and resource utilization; provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Identify risks and issues, surface them to the program leadership and execute mitigation actions

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a technology or business discipline with a well ranked institution
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in technology and transformation at consulting firms or for a leading bank
  • Experience in at least 2 full-cycle implementations of enterprise systems for medium or large sized banks
  • Extensive experience in implementing enterprise‑scale banking platforms, integrating core modules for Client onboarding, Investment Products, Portfolio Management, Advisory tools, and Compliance
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of broader core banking technology landscape
  • Understanding of the new age solution provider landscape and their capabilities across banking
  • Experience with budgetary responsibilities related to projects or resources
  • Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams to shape up and deliver new opportunities
  • Ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings
  • Ability to travel both locally and abroad as a prerequisite to fit to project assignments
  • Industry-recognized certifications in enterprise or domain-specific platforms indicating advanced configuration capabilities are nice to have
