About the role

Deloitte is growing its SR&T – Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia and is seeking a Manager to lead client engagements, oversee risk management solutions, and drive business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements by serving as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, understanding business objectives, providing expert advisory on complex financial risk management and regulatory compliance, and delivering high-impact presentations and executive briefings to senior stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of customized solutions, aligning with client requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on advanced risk management methodologies, technologies, and regulatory standards (e.g. Basel, IFRS9, Liquidity, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Banking Regulations, etc), driving strategic enhancements in quantitative risk models to ensure alignment with industry practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from planning to execution and successful delivery.
  • Mentor and coach senior consultants, fostering leadership development, technical excellence, and career progression.

Requirements

  • Possesses a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accountancy, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in banking, financial services, or consultancy, with substantial experience in financial risk management.
  • Demonstrates deep expertise in multiple risk domains, including Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Liquidity, and/or Climate Risk, as well as relevant regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics and statistical tools such as Python and SAS, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
