About the role
The Equipment Engineer, Diffusion is responsible for independent equipment maintenance, new tool installation, commissioning, and qualification of 8" diffusion furnaces, driving performance optimization, safety compliance, and documentation while leading improvement projects and providing training.

Key Responsibilities
- Work independently on equipment maintenance to meet MTBF, wafer output, process yield, quality, and throughput targets
- Collaborate with equipment vendors, project teams, and facility process groups for new tool installation, commissioning, and qualification according to schedule
- Lead equipment, process, capacity, and cost improvement projects
- Provide training to SMEs and PM Tech for new tools or work procedures
- Implement performance optimization through SPC improvements and modifications for better yield and efficiency
- Ensure equipment operates within safety and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- 2-3 years experience with 8" diffusion furnaces (e.g., TEL Alpha, VTR7000, ASM, Kokusai) maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning using schematics
- Experience designing and developing sensor solutions using micro‑controllers (e.g., STM32) or Raspberry Pi as part of Fault Detection Control (FDC)
- Knowledge and experience with FMEA, 8D tools, and SPC concepts
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving under pressure, and cross‑functional collaboration
