About the role
The National Metrology Centre seeks a Metrologist or Senior Metrologist to maintain and assure the quality of national pressure and flow measurement standards, support international comparisons, provide calibration services, develop new metrology capabilities, and train staff, requiring a science or engineering background with experience in pressure/flow metrology and knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and assure quality of national pressure and flow measurement standards in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025
- Establish international equivalence of pressure and flow measurement capabilities through technical support in international comparisons
- Provide technical support in peer‑reviews to achieve international recognition for calibration and measurement capabilities
- Disseminate national pressure and flow standards and technologies to industry via calibration and measurement services
- Participate in development of new metrology capabilities and services based on emerging industry needs
- Support industry capability building through consultancies, training, and proficiency testing in pressure and flow measurements
Requirements
- Science or engineering degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience preferred; candidates without pressure/flow metrology experience may also be considered
- Experience in pressure and flow measurement
- Knowledge of instrumentation and statistical analysis
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in teams
- Proactive, self‑driven attitude with eagerness to learn
