About the role
The Equipment Engineer, Metrology is responsible for managing maintenance staff, providing technical support for metrology tools, and ensuring equipment reliability and productivity. The role involves close collaboration with production, engineering, vendors, and support functions to meet manufacturing targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a group of maintenance staff to achieve optimal maintenance cost per wafer, equipment reliability, yields and throughput
- Provide technical support and expertise on specific tools to maintenance specialists and line support staff
- Translate production and engineering requirements into maintenance tasks and work closely with them to meet manufacturing targets
- Prioritize and solve daily problems with production and engineering affecting wafer quality and production targets
- Collaborate informally with IE & central support on equipment installation, relocation and OEE improvement projects
- Coordinate with facilities, purchasing, store, material planning and central maintenance to resolve spare parts and facilities-related issues
Requirements
- Experience in Equipment Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to collaborate with vendors on machine/process improvements.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes is beneficial.
