Key Responsibilities
- Prepares cost estimates for offshore engineering projects, including FPSO and module upgrades, offshore platform, FSRU/FSU conversions, and fabrication works.
- Supports the development of work breakdown structures (WBS) and cost breakdown structures aligned with defined project scopes.
- Assists in verifying and understanding project work scopes prior to the allocation of WBS charge codes to stakeholders.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly project cost reports for management review.
- Analyzes project data and lessons learned to support improvement in forecast cost-to-complete accuracy.
- Understands project cost cashflow principles and updates cashflow curves on a monthly basis.
- Participates in project meetings and stakeholder alignment discussions to ensure clarity on work progress and associated costs.
- Assists in reviewing contractual and commercial sections of project documents to identify key cost implications and potential financial risks.
- Collaborates closely with project teams and various disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontractors) to assist in the preparation of variation orders and client claims and tracks all change orders.
- Performs ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements
- Holds a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, or project support in a marine and/or offshore environment
- Familiar with offshore platforms, modules, FPSOs, jackets, etc. and onshore petrochemical plants will be an added advantage
- Detail-oriented with good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willing to commit overtime as and when required
