Senior Telecom Engineer responsible for overseeing telecom system design, verification, procurement, and commissioning on offshore/marine projects, ensuring compliance with standards and coordinating with vendors and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand project and contract specifications and provide technical support in commercial discussions involving variation orders, scope, responsibility, and cost disputes with various stakeholders
- Review and comment Topside and Marine telecommunication system deliverables from engineering sub‑contractors, ensuring designs meet contract, classification, and local authority requirements
- Monitor drawing schedule progress and align telecommunication engineering design activities with overall project execution plan
- Perform system design verification tasks such as PAGA sound coverage, voltage drop calculations, link budget analysis, and system redundancy cabling
- Review equipment layout for compliance and coordinate with other disciplines on material handling, constructability, installation, operation, maintenance, and safety
- Review procurement engineering documents, participate in bid clarification meetings, and assist in vendor selection
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or related engineering disciplines 5-10+ years in telecom systems, preferably in offshore, marine, or oil & gas projects Telecom systems (PABX, radio, CCTV, PAGA, data networks)
- Familiar with offshore/marine standards (IEC, IMO, DNV, ABS)
- Experience in engineering design, installation, and commissioning
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Ability to lead or mentor junior engineers Comfortable working in shipyard/offshore environments Willingness to travel or work extended hours when required
