Mechanical Engineer responsible for troubleshooting equipment failures, coordinating with engineering and HSE teams, planning work schedules, and maintaining machinery in a shipyard environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Identifies and troubleshoots equipment failures, recurring breakdowns, and defects, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Liaises with Engineering to define technical specifications for machinery fitting and documents project requirements for equipment installation
- Assists in preparing procedures, risk assessments, HSE work method statements under supervision of senior team members and Project Manager
- Prepares job lists, work schedules, and plans manpower resources (yard and contractors) and facilities, collaborating closely with team members
- Participates in project meetings with stakeholders to capture specifications and report progress status
- Coordinates on‑site activities with HSE department, subcontractors, QA/QC team, owners, and statutory/classification authorities for inspection and compliance review
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Entry‑level candidates welcome; on‑the‑job training provided
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility, and climb stairs or ladders of varying heights
- Good planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently
