About the role

This AVP/VP level role focuses on providing specialized advisory services for Family Office setups within the Private Banking sector. The specialist will guide UHNW clients through complex wealth planning, governance structures, and regulatory frameworks including MAS tax incentive schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advisory to UHNW clients on the setup and ongoing governance of family office structures
  • Collaborate with Private Banking Relationship Managers to identify prospects and drive family office client acquisition
  • Guide clients through the application processes for Singapore MAS Section 13O and 13U tax incentive schemes
  • Coordinate with external legal, tax, and accounting professionals to deliver comprehensive wealth planning solutions
  • Stay current on regional and global regulatory changes affecting wealth management and family office operations
  • Develop and deliver presentations on family office trends and regulatory updates to internal teams and clients
  • Ensure all family office structures comply with local regulatory standards, AML, and KYC requirements
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content and marketing materials for the Family Office segment

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in wealth management, trust services, legal advisory, or tax consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of the Singapore regulatory landscape and MAS tax incentive schemes for family offices
  • Proven experience advising Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families on complex financial and governance structures
  • Familiarity with the Variable Capital Company (VCC) framework and its applications in wealth management
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a reputable university
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts simply
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to work effectively with Relationship Managers and external partners
  • Professional certification such as TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) is highly preferred
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail regarding legal documentation and compliance
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple complex client engagements simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and long-term relationships with sophisticated UHNW clients
