Key Responsibilities
- As an Operational Risk Manager, you will be accountable for providing objective review and challenge to the business units and support units to ensure operational risk is adequately and effectively managed and ensure operational resilience within the units.
- The incumbent will provide Line 2 independent risk oversight for the specific lines of business and/or support units he/she is assigned to: Provide advice, objective review and challenge to the units to ensure operational risk is adequately and effectively identified, assessed and managed, and ensure operational resilience within units Conduct independent assessment and monitoring of operational risk by reviewing operational risk metrics (risk events, risk & control self-assessment results, key risk indicators, etc), and assessing if there are systemic/thematic risk concerns that warrant deeper analysis and escalation to senior management Conduct thematic risk reviews to identify major areas of risks and control improvements Develop and maintain operational risk polices and mitigation programmes Develop and implement initiatives (such as training programme and communication/ awareness activities) to enhance risk culture and awareness in the units Drive/lead changes in various risk tools to improve operational risk management Participate in the team's ongoing projects and initiatives
Requirements
- Expertise in Operational Risk Management frameworks.
- Ability to provide objective review and challenge to business units.
- Experience in risk monitoring using key indicators (KRIs).
- Strong understanding of internal control structures.
