Vice President leading digital platform governance for consumer banking, responsible for developing and implementing digital governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize, design, and lead the comprehensive development and continuous enhancement of a robust digital governance framework for all digital platforms, including actively improving controls and optimizing digital governance processes to ensure unimpeachable data quality, stringent security, and full compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Champion and drive adherence to stringent digital standards, conducting rigorous and proactive checks, reviews, and audits to ensure governance processes are consistently and effectively implemented across all digital initiatives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive digital governance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate digital risks, safeguard integrity of digital platforms, and ensure operational resilience.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with diverse cross-functional teams including product, technology, risk, and legal to proactively identify and address potential governance gaps, implementing innovative and effective solutions that enhance DBS's overall digital governance posture.
  • Establish and execute a robust monitoring framework to assess effectiveness of digital governance practices, providing regular insightful reports and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement, driving a culture of excellence and adaptability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in digital governance, advising senior stakeholders on best practices, emerging industry trends, and regulatory changes to position DBS at the forefront of digital excellence.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in digital governance, enterprise risk management, or compliance roles, with a strong preference for candidates from the banking or financial services industry. Experience with large-scale digital transformation projects is highly desirable.
  • Deep and comprehensive understanding of digital platforms, advanced data management principles, information security frameworks, and privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR).
  • Demonstrated and proven track record in successfully developing, implementing, and maturing robust governance frameworks and controls within complex organizational structures.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen ability to identify, assess, and strategically mitigate complex digital risks.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Extensive familiarity with relevant regulatory landscapes, industry standards, and leading best practices pertaining to digital governance, risk management, and compliance.
