Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Engineer The Presales Systems Engineer (PSA) is a technical sales professional responsible for driving AI, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Modern workload solutions in Singapore.
  • This role partners closely with Sales, Specialty Presales, and wider cross-functional teams to understand customer business outcomes, design the right Dell solutions, and win strategic opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level and technical stakeholders, shaping our customers' technology roadmap and helping them modernize with Dell's portfolio (AI solutions, compute, storage, data protection, HCI, multicloud, edge, AI/analytics, and services).
  • What you'll achieve As a Systems Engineer, you will provide pre-sales technical support to our field sales teams, helping to define the overall Dell Technologies solution for our customers using the full range of company products and services.
  • You will: Customer Engagement & Opportunity Leadership: Engage with CIO, CTO, IT leadership, and architects to understand business priorities, IT strategy, and workload
  • Across Singapore accounts.Lead technical discovery workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and architecture reviews to translate needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.Own the technical sales cycle from qualification through design, proposal, presentation, POC/Pilot, and handover to delivery.

Requirements

  • Deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution narratives tailored to different audiences (business, technical, executive).
  • Solution Architecture & Design: Design end-to-end architectures leveraging Dell's portfolio (AI, servers, storage, data protection, networking, converged/hyperconverged, multicloud, and as-a-Service offerings, AI/ML, and data analytics platforms).Develop high-level and low-level solution designs, including sizing, BOMs, reference architectures, and integration considerations.Guide customers on modernization paths (e.g., virtualization to cloud, legacy storage to all-flash/HCI, traditional apps to containerized/modern apps).
  • Presales Execution & Deal Support: P artner with Account Executives and DCSEs to build winning strategies for key pursuits and competitive take-outs.Lead RFP/RFI/RFQ responses: solution design, architecture descriptions, technical sizing, compliance matrices, and technical write-ups.Engage ecosystem partners (Global Alliances, SIs, SPs, OEMs) where appropriate to complete the overall solution.
  • Thought Leadership & Trusted Advisor Role: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in core infrastructure and at least one specialty area (e.g., storage, data protection, virtualization/cloud, and AI/analytics).
  • Provide technology guidance to customers, highlighting Dell innovation and best practices aligned to their industry and maturity.
