About the role
The Hybrid Bonding Technology Development Engineer will develop pretreatment processes for CoW hybrid bonding, optimize hybrid bonding chambers, and collaborate with partners to evaluate and prototype next‑generation pretreatment technologies. The role includes hands‑on work with plasma and wet‑clean tools, metrology equipment, and provides technical guidance to field teams, with opportunities for training on state‑of‑the‑art hybrid bonders and flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop pretreatment processes for conventional and unconventional test vehicles in CoW hybrid bonding applications
- Propose solutions to improve yield and die stacking in hybrid bonding
- Initiate and conduct CnF tests to define process and hardware requirements
- Collaborate with partners to evaluate pretreatment technologies for high‑performance hybrid bonding
- Prototype next‑generation pretreatment modules with engineering teams or suppliers
- Evaluate prototype chambers for hybrid bonding and own process optimization
Requirements
- Engineering or science university degree
- Academic background in plasma, wet clean, or thermal modules (preferred)
- Hands‑on experience with industrial or lab‑scale plasma or wet‑clean tools and processes (strong plus)
- Willingness to travel up to 15% to the US, Taiwan, Korea, or Europe
- Ability to work in a cleanroom/lab environment
