About the role
Smart Metrology Engineer responsible for failure analysis, smart metrology lab setup, automation, and AI/ML exploration in semiconductor manufacturing.
EquipmentOnsiteQuality
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct failure analysis (FA) to identify root causes, support corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (manufacturing, quality, R&D, engineering) to understand, optimize, and scale metrology workflows.
- Lead and support the setup of a smart metrology / failure analysis lab, incorporating smart factory and Industry 4.0 concepts (digitalization, data connectivity, automation).
- Design and build simple tools, scripts, and dashboards to support lab operations, reporting, and decision‑making.
- Identify and establish automation for repetitive tasks, data collection, analysis, and workflow management.
- Support early exploration and proof‑of‑concepts for AI/ML use cases, including data readiness assessment and pilot implementation.
Requirements
- 0-4 years of proficiency in programming and scripting for engineering or data workflows (e.g. Python, basic SQL, automation scripts).
- New College Graduates are eligible to apply.
- Strong data processing and analysis skills, including data cleaning, visualization, and interpretation.
- Fundamental understanding of statistics for data analysis and process improvement.
- Familiarity with AI / ML fundamentals (e.g. basic models, use‑case identification, data requirements); hands‑on expertise is a plus but not mandatory.
- Hands‑on experience with prototyping, experimentation, or proof‑of‑concept development.
