Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize optical systems for high sensitivity detection, imaging, non-imaging and analytical applications
  • Assemble, align, and validate optical prototypes for proof-of-concept and functional testing
  • Document optical system designs, specifications, and performance data
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electronics, software engineers, and biochemists
  • Support transition from prototype to product-ready design

Requirements

  • Master’s, or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and assembling precision optical systems
  • Strong understanding of optical design tools (e.g., ZEMAX, CODEV, SPEOS) and mechanical CAD software (Autodesk or SolidWorks).
  • , stray light analysis, mechanical mounts, and prototyping.
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex design challenges in a multi-disciplinary environment.
