Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize optical systems for high sensitivity detection, imaging, non-imaging and analytical applications
- Assemble, align, and validate optical prototypes for proof-of-concept and functional testing
- Document optical system designs, specifications, and performance data
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electronics, software engineers, and biochemists
- Support transition from prototype to product-ready design
Requirements
- Master’s, or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience designing and assembling precision optical systems
- Strong understanding of optical design tools (e.g., ZEMAX, CODEV, SPEOS) and mechanical CAD software (Autodesk or SolidWorks).
- , stray light analysis, mechanical mounts, and prototyping.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex design challenges in a multi-disciplinary environment.
