Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data-driven collection assessments using professional tools to identify overlaps, gaps, and optimisation opportunities, and propose actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated workflows to ensure accurate, timely updates and facilitate coordination across library teams.
- Manage and enhance library-curated and special collections, ensuring accessibility, relevance, and user engagement through collaborative development and promotional activities.
- Evaluate and negotiate resource subscriptions using evidence-based metrics, preparing justifications and documentation to support budget planning and renewal decisions.
- Monitor library trends and collection metrics, perform regular checks for anomalies, and continuously improve collection development processes for quality and sustainability.
- Requirements
- Degree in any discipline.
- Candidates with past experience with library collection acquisitions, e-resource subscriptions, data analytics tools, scholarly publishing markets or open access will be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft software applications, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI).
Requirements
- Degree in any discipline.
- Candidates with past experience with library collection acquisitions, e-resource subscriptions, data analytics tools, scholarly publishing markets or open access will be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft software applications, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Power BI).
- Knowledge of library information resources and acquisition models for different resource types and platforms.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in libraries or related industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong numerical aptitude and interest in optimizing business workflows.
- Organised and details oriented. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
