Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fieldwork in mangrove and coral reef environments, including sediment core collection and ecological surveys
- Perform sedimentological, palaeoecological (pollen), and geochemical analyses (e.g., TOC, carbonate)
- Deploy and maintain environmental sensors (e.g., temperature loggers) and analyse associated datasets
- Apply microscopy and GIS-based spatial analysis for habitat mapping and data interpretation
- Support data analysis, scientific reporting, and manuscript preparation
- Assist with project logistics, procurement, and coordination of field and lab activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Marine Science, or related field
- Familiarity with sediment analysis, palaeoecology, or geochemical techniques preferred
- Proficiency in GIS and/or data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python)
- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work in challenging field conditions
