Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Physics-Informed Neural Network (PINN) models to simulate, predict, and analyze complex nonlinear dynamics in optical systems, particularly fiber lasers.
- Design, build, and optimize state-of-the-art fiber laser setups to experimentally investigate nonlinear phenomena such as soliton dynamics, modulation instability, and supercontinuum generation.
- Integrate experimental data with AI models, using machine learning to uncover hidden physics, accelerate simulations, and discover new operational regimes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists within the university and with external partners.
- Analyze, interpret, and present research findings in high-impact scientific journals and at international conferences.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering or other related fields.
- Solid Mathematical skills.
- Hands-on experience in designing and building fiber laser cavities for the generation of ultrashort pulses.
- Strong background in nonlinear optics.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and applying AI Learning models, for scientific research.
- A strong publication record is highly desirable.
- The ability to conduct independent research is highly desirable.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
