Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain pilot-scale and demonstration chemical process plants, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance
- Lead systematic troubleshooting of process upsets, equipment failures, and off-spec conditions; implement and document corrective actions
- Identify and drive process optimisation opportunities to improve yield, energy efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop, review, and update process engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, and HAZOP studies
- Support scale-up activities by translating R&D findings into process design packages and engineering specifications
- Collaborate with analytical, mechanical, and research teams to integrate measurements and data into process improvement cycles
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode analysis for recurring process or equipment issues
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, workplace safety requirements, and institutional guidelines at all times in compliance with Singapore regulations
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations to project stakeholders
- Support procurement, commissioning, and qualification of new process equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Candidates with a Ph.D. and relevant industrial experience are also welcome.
